Here you will find information on the University of Dayton Cheerleading program and Mascot, Rudy Flyer.
The University of Dayton has two cheerleading squads and one mascot. The Blue squad (co-ed) is composed of seven to ten females and seven to ten males that cheer for football and men's basketball. The Red squad (all-girl) is composed of fifteen to eighteen females and cheers for home football games and women's basketball. The Rudy Flyer mascot has two or three students that wear the suit each year. Both cheer squads and Rudy make regular appearances representing the University at alumni, athletic, charitable, and public relations activities.
